Our take
I picked up this 12lb rubber hex dumbbell for light arm work at home. The chrome handle feels sturdy, and the non-slip grip is decent for basic curls and presses. I like that it accepts standard 1-inch plates, so I swapped in some heavier ones I already had. The rubber coating is a nice touch—it doesn't scratch the floor if I set it down. That said, the included weights are quite light, and the spin-lock collars can loosen during use if not tightened well. For the price, it's a solid entry-level dumbbell, but serious lifters will want a fixed-weight set.
